This extensive project to renovate a grade II listed Georgian house and Victorian Artist’s Studio in the Bayswater Conservation Area enhanced the historic character of the main dwelling through the refurbishment and introduction of details and materials in keeping with its listed status.
The former Victorian Artist Studio, at the rear of the garden, was converted into guest accommodation with the addition of an open space room in the basement. Original features were removed and re-purposed, the red-brown timber panelling was re-installed creating a dramatic full height wall. The mezzanine created a small office overlooking the studio below and offering a view of the garden and back to the main house.
